Melbourne Dockland by Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f2 SL II

The nightscape in Melbourne Dockland is rather chilling. Aperture f2 is bright enough for such nightscene without tripod!

What do you think of that lens in specific? I've not heard many things, and I do not know anybody who uses the Voigtlander. I get the impression that they make stellar lenses though.

The whole view gives out a futuristic look with all the light and metal clad facades of structures.

Voigtlander Ultron 40mm f2 is made for two current mounts: Nikon AIS and Pentax PKII

The lens is a great performer in the days of rangefinder. The image rendering is quite superb especially with colour reproduction. In fact, the colour is a lot better wide open than stopping down in the low light environment.

The lens has the sharp corners that canon or nikon lenses cannot compete with. The bokeh rendering can be nervous at times but still a lot better than canon nikon counterparts

Ayie, this dockland is rather modern but desolate as well. Too expensive to hang around the area. :)
