Ants by Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 macro Apo Lanthar SLII

Ants are often crawling very fast. The fact is that using a manual focus macro lens to capture these critters rather difficult.
You can see the images turn out a very narrow depth of field with such a great revealing detail

Mural Art by Pentax Da 15mm f4 limited

This is in the back alley of Melbourne CBD. Very interesting mural art here where Da 15mm ltd finally has a place in this narrow tight space of city lanes.
Colour and resolution are all very good from this lens. A treasure gain for me :)

Turbulence of water by Da* 16-50mm f2.8 SDM

Water art can be soothing. Da* 16-50mm f2.8 is a lens invented for water photography. Long exposure can be overdone to create totally whiting out which can be potentially harsh. However, the silky blurr from this zoom does make scenery images popping even more

Slowly simmered veal by Pentax Fa 31mm ltd f1.8

This is a fantastic main course at Cafe Italia. A well decorated restaurant with outstanding service. I love the flavour of this veal: tender, juicy and flavoursome.

The image was taken with ISO 800; aperture is f2.2; portrait orientation seems to counterbalance the round plate better.

Cafe Italia Restaurant

I will definitely visit the place again :)

Three legged fly by Voigtlander 125mm f2.5 macro apo lanthar SL II

The fly is known to have one leg in the air at any one time. I thought it was a spider but it was not
I have captured many images of three legged flies. This macro lens does bring a lot of colour epsecially that subtle blue

Sculture of the memorial against city backdrop by voigtlander ultron 40mm f2 SL II

This is a facade of a memorial hall with the touch of city backdrop where the strong uv light in the air render the view quite a strong cyan.
Interestingly, I never liked the shot until I discovered the image in my old data bank. Not a bad atmosphere from the image. I just could not pin point it out what is special about it.
Here is the artile about chromatic abberation or purple fringeing.
I hope that you like the image too :)

Tea Eggs by Pentax Da 21mm ltd f3.2

Tea eggs are traditional food of Chinese. Oolong tea leaves are cooked til all the caffeine are leached out of the tealeaves. The sediments of the tea tanins coloured the egg shell til the dark brown. The aroma of tea infiltrated the yolk and egg white.
A delicacy.
The tea eggs are typically cooked on tomb sweeping day when the tomb would be covered by the egg shells in bits and pieces...

Church interior by Pentax Da 15mm f4 limited

This new lens is my favorite. Really small and compact. Yet, sharp corner with excellent colour reproduction in deed.
I love this lens. The lighting of the church is quite dim and I apply -2 white balance to the image itself.

Buddha Statue by Pentax Fa 43mm ltd f1.9

Guan Du Temple has maintained a gold-coated statue like this one. Radiating like a sun in a dim lit interior. Gorgeous looking Buddha figure with that touch serenity.
